About me.
I'm Salem, a CSE student at AIUB. I wrote my first code in class 7 and haven't stopped since. These days most of my time goes into frontend work, taking a rough idea and turning it into something people can actually click around in.
I learn by building things, breaking them, and working out why they broke. On the web side that means React, Next.js and Tailwind. On the fundamentals side it means Data Structures, Algorithms, databases and Linux. I want to understand how software works from the first line of code to the deploy button.
I use AI tools to try ideas and debug faster, but I read and understand the code before it goes into a project. Tools should speed me up, not do my thinking.
Away from the keyboard I read books and comics, and I play far too many video games. They're where my love for good stories and small details comes from, and it shows in what I build.
